Big lotto win “strikes” Pickering woman

A Pickering woman has been “struck” by good luck.
Today, OLG announced that Nimalampigai Jegatheesan won the Lightning Lotto jackpot on Aug. 2, 2024. The top prize had grown to $186,509.90 before it was won.
Jegatheesan did not provide details about her reaction to OLG.
Lightning Lotto allows players to match all five numbers in any one line on a ticket with those drawn earlier that day to win the jackpot. The top prize starts at $125,000 and grows with ticket sales.
Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 4.47.
The winning ticket was purchased at YHL Variety on Lawrence Avenue East in Scarborough.
