Clarington businesses broken into overnight, Bowmanville man facing charges

A Bowmanville man is facing charges in connection with a series of break-and-enters at businesses across Clarington over two months.

Durham Regional Police responded to several calls of break-and-enters between April and May of 2024 where they allege a male broke into multiple businesses overnight and stole numerous items, including cash, iPad tablets, and a cell phone.

The male was taken into custody on Thursday (June 20).

Justin Jeremy Coburn, 26, from Bowmanville is charged with four counts of break-and-enter non dwelling, and two counts of theft under $5,000.

Coburn has been released with a promise to return to court.
