If you like painting and petting a range of fluffy creatures, you are in luck–the Oshawa Zoo is hosting a painting event in the near future.

Recently, Art 4 Endurance, an Oshawa-based company that encourages young people to create meaningful works of art, announced that it is hosting a Trip to the Zoo Paint Extravaganza in partnership with the Oshawa Zoo + Fun Farm.

The Oshawa Zoo + Fun Farm, located at 3377 Grandview Street, is a long-standing institution that is home to a “harmonious blend of approachable exotic and domestic animals,” including sloths, kangaroos, lemurs, deer, foxes, miniature horses and more.

The July 20 paint event will feature abstract painting, snacks, face painting and, of course, the animals.

“Become one with nature and tap into your inner Picasso while spending time with the family,” Art 4 Endurance wrote on social media.

The post says the zoo is home to over 45 different types of animals and sits on 22 fenced acres of land.

Sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will include custom snack buckets for toddlers and children.

Tickets are $30 for adults ($20 for season pass holders). Tickets for children between three and five years of age cost $20 (less for pass holders) and children between 6 and twelve can enter for $25 (less for pass holders). The event is free for children two and under.

Residents are encouraged to register at [email protected] to secure their spots.
