13-year-old robbed of scooter at knifepoint in Ajax

Two teenagers are facing robbery charges after stealing a scooter at knife-point from a 13-year-old boy in Ajax Wednesday.

Police responded to the robbery call at Rossland Road and Church Street Wednesday at 6:40 p.m. The two suspects had allegedly taken the scooter and when the younger boy confronted them, threats were made toward the youth and a knife was brandished,

Officers, with the assistance of Air1, searched the area and located the teens a short distance away. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

Two boys, aged 16 and 15 and both from Pickering, were charged with robbery. Both were released on a promise to appear.
