Two people with injuries were sent to the hospital, following a three-vehicle crash in Uxbridge yesterday.

On Saturday (Oct. 14) shortly before 8 a.m., Durham Regional Police responded to Regional Highway 47 and Wagg Road for a collision.

According to police, a white commercial truck heading northbound approached Wagg Road when a black sedan entered the northbound lanes, also from Wagg Road.

The impact of the crash pushed the sedan into the path of a southbound pickup truck, officers say.

As a result of the incident, investigators say, two men were transported to Toronto-area trauma hospitals, where one person remains in critical condition while the second is in stable condition.

Police confirmed the driver of the white commercial truck was uninjured.

The DRPS Collision Investigation Unit conducted an investigation, where roads were closed for several hours to collect evidence.

Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact D/Cst. Lathangue of the Collision Investigation Unit at 905-579-1520 ext. 5255.
