2,000 opioid pills found after early morning traffic stop in Oshawa

Nearly two thousand morphine-based opioid pills were found after a traffic stop in Oshawa Sunday.
Durham Police said officers conducted the stop near Olive Avene and Cadillac Avenue in the city’s south-east end at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, with the driver of the vehicle exiting the car and attempting to flee.
He was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. Two other young men remained in the vehicle.
Officers searched the car and discovered a handgun holster, drug paraphernalia and more than 1,990 dilaudid pills, a pain killer from the morphine family.
Jayden Malual and Coady Crowe, both 18 and from of Oshawa, and Aniruddho Kazi, 21, of Oakville, are charged with trafficking in a Schedule 1 drug (dilaudid). Crowe was also charged with possession of oxycodone.
All three were held for a bail hearing.
