29-year-old motorcyclist collides with car in Oshawa

A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after colliding with a car in Oshawa last night (Sept 2).

Durham Regional Police responded shortly after 8 p.m. to the scene of a collision between a sedan and a motorcycle in the area of Park Rd. South and Fenlon Crescent.

The 29-year-old male motorcyclist was found in life-threatening condition and transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre.

Police say the motorcyclist remains in hospital, but his condition has improved to stable.

Upon further investigation, officers determined that the sport-style, Yamaha motorcycle and the car were both travelling northbound when the motorcyclist struck the back of the car.

The roadway was closed for several hours while the Collision Reconstruction Unit assessed the scene.
