Two men and two women are facing multiple criminal charges after a large amount of drugs were seized during a police raid at a house in Bowmanville last week.
On Thursday (April 25), Durham Regional Police say members of the Community Response Team, with help from the Drug Enforcement Unit, ran a search warrant at a residence near Simpson Avenue and Jane Street.
Several people were found inside the house and taken into custody without incident.
Investigators say a number of drugs including cocaine and opioids were found and seized.
Officials have not confirmed the exact weight or street value of the drugs confiscated during the raid.
Billy Glover (40), Michelle Woolner (46), Rebecca Bowden (39), and Peter Johnston (36) —all from Clarington—are charged with possessing cocaine and opioids for the purpose of trafficking.
Glover also faces a charge for failing to comply with recognizance. While Glover was held for a bail hearing, the others were released on an undertaking.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Sgt. Green of the Central East Division Community Response Team at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1747.
