There will be a six-week closure on certain roads in Oshawa beginning Monday.

According to Durham.ca, a road closure on Wilson Road (Regional Road 35) will begin on July 15 and continue until August 19. The impacted stretch is from Bloor Street East to Dieppe Avenue.

This closure is needed to move Enbridge Gas infrastructure for a future Ministry of Transportation project. Local traffic can still use the road, and sidewalks will be open.

In addition, businesses in the area will remain operational throughout the construction period.

Durham’s municipality acknowledges the potential disruption and will strive to complete the work efficiently.

In the meantime, drivers are urged to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and work crews.
