A dynamic Caribbean restaurant and lounge has just opened in Ajax

A new Caribbean-style lounge has just opened its doors in Ajax. 

The Hibiscus Pub and Lounge, which opened in August, is already garnering some attention from patrons throughout Durham. 

“Loved the food, music and overall vibes. This will be our new go-to spot as they never disappoint,” read one Google review by a patron named J.D. 

Additional information relayed by user reviews indicates the location is spacious, comfortable and a great place to watch sports and other major events, as there are many TVs and a fully integrated sound system. 

As for the cuisine, information on the restaurant’s Instagram page points to a dynamic menu full of various pub classics with a Caribbean twist.

These include various styles of fried rice, veggie plates and jerk chicken. 

The location also features a full lunch menu with items under $10.

“Ordered takeout for the family, the servings were massive and they didn’t skip out on the flavour either… this new restaurant has become a favourite,” read another review by a user named Nicole. 

Beyond sporting events and the cuisine, the lounge also serves as an event space, with upcoming late-night events featuring DJs and other performers scheduled for weekends.
