An Oshawa woman is off to live her dream of visiting Nashville after pulling a $100,000 Encore lottery win.
Patsy LeBlanc, a manufacturer, has played the lottery for years and bought her Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max tickets with Encore every time. Some years back LeBlanc pulled $1,000 on an Encore draw but she was in for a lot more this time.
Ahead of the last draw she bought her tickets at CNIB Kiosk in Walmart on Laval Drive in Oshawa. Later she matched six of the seven drawn numbers in order, netting her a $100,000 win.
When she scanned her tickets, “Big Winner” flash across her phone screen leaving her shocked. “I thought there was no way it was real,” she told the OLG, “Once my family double-checked what I was seeing, I was excited to tell my children. They were so shocked. It felt so nice to win big and then get to share that news with my whole family.”
“It feels good to be here today to receive this cheque. I never dreamed I would have this experience,” she continued, “I have always wanted to go to Nashville and now I have the best reason to go. I am excited to have a fun-filled adventure.”
