A Halal BBQ joint has just opened in Ajax

For barbecue enthusiasts, there’s no need to wait for summer festivals to indulge in smoky, tender meats. Ajax now has a restaurant where you can enjoy this slow-cooked fare all year round.

Chainsmoker Urban Halal Barbeque is located inside a plaza at 65 Kingston Rd. E., unit 9, and serves all kinds of southern American comfort foods. 

Popular menu items include smoked brisket, beef ribs, and all-beef burgers. According to the restaurant’s main website, these meats are Triple-A quality.

Some other main dish options include BBQ chicken dinners such as jerk chicken and deep-fried chicken wings.

Diners can enjoy these dishes with various signature sauces including Spicy Kansas, Smokey Texas, Sweet Memphis, and South Carolina.

If you’re looking for some sides with your meal, Chainsmoker offers  Fries Dun’ Up ( fries with chilli, garlic aioli, scallions and garlic), chicken poutine, cajun hushpuppies, coleslaw, cornbread and mac and cheese.

The Chainsmoker in Ajax is open Sunday through Thursday from noon to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon to 11 p.m.

The restaurant has a location in Milton at 101 James Snow Pkwy N. and another in Etobicoke at 5555 Eglinton Ave. W.
