A Harry Potter themed event is happening in Oshawa

If you have a witch or wizard costume gathering dust in the back of your closet, now’s the time to bring it out and put it to good use.

For those looking for a summer experience brimming with magic and enchantment, reminiscent of the beloved Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling, there’s a special event happening in Oshawa this week!

Wands and Wizards will be happening on Thursday (July 25) at 270 Simcoe Street North near the Parkwood National Historic Museum.

The event will run from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of activities designed to immerse attendees in the beloved Harry Potter universe.

Young witches and wizards can concoct magical slime inspired by the colours and creatures of the wizarding world, dive into a themed activity book filled with puzzles, mazes, and colouring pages.

Participants will also have the opportunity to transform into their favourite characters at a face-painting station.

Due to capacity limits, tickets are required for all attendees. The general admission fee is $45, which includes participation in all activities. A reduced fee of $10 is available for guardians who do not wish to participate in activities. The event requires children to be accompanied by an adult.

Attendees are encouraged to dress as wizards, witches, or magical creatures to enhance the experience!
