Air1 assists in arrest of break-and-enter suspects in Clarington

A man and a woman accused of theft from a Clarington garage, have been arrested with the help of the Air1 unit. were arrested after a break-and-enter in Clarington.
East Division responded to a call about a break-in near White Cliffe Drive and Robert Adams Drive Thursday evening around 8:30 p.m. Police say the resident saw an unknown woman exiting a garage with a box of items. The resident also observed a suspicious male further away from her residence with a second box of items. The female suspect was confronted by the resident and fled the scene.
The DRPS Air1 helicopter was in close proximity and was able to assist, following the two suspects and maintaining a visual until officers arrived on scene.
The woman was located by a responding unit and arrested. The man continued to flee on foot and was arrested by another responding unit with the assistance of Air1.
