The pride of Chakria, India and Ajax, Ontario is putting his perfect 15-0 professional boxing record on the line Saturday at Pickering Casino Resort when he takes on Mexico’s Luis Gutierrez in a middleweight bout scheduled for ten rounds.

Sukhdeep Singh Bhatti took out Sagar Narwat by way of an eighth-round TKO last time out on May 27 at Brampton’s CAA centre. His three fights before then all went the distance so Bhatti will be looking to showcase his power Saturday against the experienced Gutierrez, who sports a record of 24-8.

One fighter who leaves no doubt in the ring as to his punching power is Brantford’s Ricardo ‘Big 12’ Brown, who will take on journeyman Pavel Sour of the Czech Republic (18-17) in the co-main event.

Brown, who is 8-0 as a pro and fought for Jamaica in the Tokyo Olympics as a super heavyweight, disposed of Miguel Gomez in the second round June 3. Four of the heavyweight’s other seven pro fights have ended in the first round and the boxer has yet to go three rounds in his professional career.

A couple of other big fights Saturday include Kemahl Russell of Jamaica (14-1) against veteran fighter Juan Carlos Raygosa of Mexico (18-22-3) and rising middleweight Melinda Watpool – a former Canadian amateur champion – putting her own unbeaten (3-0) record against Patricia Gomez (1-3-1) of Spain.

Also on the card is Stoney Creek’s Dylan Rushton (3-9-3) taking on Oshawa’s Thad Buntsma (3-3-1) in a lightweight bout and Mike Cabatuan of Toronto (2-0-1) against Mexican lightweight Oscar Rodriguez (0-2-2).

The first fight on the United Promotions card is scheduled to go at 7 p.m. at the Arena at Pickering Casino Resort.
