It’s the spirit of Mas come alive in Ajax.

Ajax is wrapping up 12 days of carnival arts, culture, costumes and dance, music and great food with Carnival City, which finishes Sunday at the Ajax Downs racetrack and casino.

The creative talents of the Caribbean community are on display from July 27-August 7 with junior and adult costume performances, live music, soca, chutney, calypso, steelpan and traditional arts and exhibitions, as well as everything you need to know about the history of Carnival.

Events at the 12-day show included Mas Factor Frontline Runway Show; Brass Fest; Soca Village; Emancipation Day events; Comedy Fest; Mas Factor: North King & Queens; and Caribbean Fusion.

Tickets are still available for Saturday’s Durham Carifest/Mas Factor Junior King & Queen Carnival and Pan in the North on Sunday, a celebration of the Steelpan.
