Ajax man arrested in Oshawa with handgun and $80,000 in fentanyl

An Ajax man is in custody after a drug investigation on Dean Avenue in Oshawa uncovered a loaded handgun, ammunition and nearly $80,000 in fentanyl.

Police arrested Glenford Johnson, 36, on Wednesday and charged him with three firearm offences, possession for the purpose of trafficking in fentanyl, fail to comply and assault with intent to resist.

He was held for a bail hearing.
