Ajax man charged with sexual assault of teen employee at Pickering restaurant

An Ajax man has been charged with sexual assault involving one of his employees in Pickering.

The DRPS Special Victims Unit began investigating in March 2022 after a 16 year old victim came forward with “allegations of a sexual nature” against the suspect.

“The suspect, a manager/owner of a Pickering restaurant on Kingston Road is alleged to have inappropriately touched the victim in the workplace,” said Durham police.

Investigators arrested 64 year old Ajax man Esmaeil Jafariesfidvajan, who is charged with sexual assault.

He has since been released on an undertaking.
