Ajax man wins $70,000 on Pools sports bets

An Ajax man is $70,000 richer after making lucky sports bets in Pools.

Rami Al Nouno is a football fan who patiently waits for the season every year. He feels closer to the games when he bets on the outcome through Pools and Proline. He picked up his latest ticket at the Petro Canada on Salem Rd.

He said he knew he had won something after the game on Sunday, but didn’t want to tell anyone yet.  “Tuesday morning, I woke up and checked my ticket and saw I won $70,000. My wife and I celebrated together with a big hug,” he told the OLG.

Al Nuono is going to pay off some bills, head out for a vacation and invest the rest for his children’s education.
