Ajax Partnership Fund enters third year of financing projects and events

Ajax has launched its town partnership fund for the third year to help finance local initiatives and events.

“The fund provides opportunities for organizations and individuals to partner with the Town on strategic events, initiatives, and projects,” the town wrote, “These partnerships will help successful applicants make a positive difference for residents and the community of Ajax.”

Residents can apply for the funding by filling out an online form until Oct. 14. To qualify the applicant must;

• be located in Ajax or provide services to Ajax residents
• offer benefits to the community
• clearly align with the Town’s strategic goals and priorities
• be accessible and welcoming to the public
• provide meaningful avenues for Town recognition and partnership
• align with Town values

“Charities, community organizations, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, as well as unorganized groups may submit a proposal to apply for funding. Proposals must meet several criteria as determined by the Town to be considered for funding. Funding is not guaranteed even if the criteria are met,” Ajax said.

“The Town remains committed to supporting the community and our residents to make significant improvements for the future of Ajax. The APF has been very well received the past two years and is a great opportunity for charities, community organizations, for-profit organizations and not-for-profit organizations to partner with the Town to help make a difference in our community,” said Mayor Shaun Collier.

The decision on who will get the $100,000 investment will be announced on Dec. 1
