Ajax retiree wins $75,000 on OLG’s Instant Scrabble

Christine Stephens of Ajax is $75,000 richer after winning with INSTANT SCRABBLE.

Stephens, a 63-year-old retiree, said she loves to play INSTANT games. “I was on the phone with my son while I was playing my ticket and said, ‘Whoa, I need to check my ticket, I have a lot of words here,’” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “When I saw Big Winner, I froze. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and started screaming.”

Still talking to her son on the phone, he thought Christine was playing a joke on him. “I must have scanned it at least a dozen times. My son will never forget that moment – I almost made him deaf,” she said.

She plans to spoil her grandchildren at Easter and put the rest of the money aside for a travel fund for her and her husband.

“I’m grinning ear to ear behind this mask!” she said.
