Ajax woman pulls $1 million lotto numbers

An Ajax woman is $1 million richer after pulling the perfect Encore lottery numbers.

Ann-Marie Jeremiah works in public service. She’s played the lottery regularly for the last decade and has always added Encore to her ticket. She got her most recent numbers ahead of the April 20 draw from Middlecote Kitchen Food Fair on Middlecote Drive in Ajax.

“I was at home making myself a tea when I checked my tickets on the OLG app. I was shocked! At first, I thought I won $100,000. I had to scan it again and count the zeros,” she told the OLG.

When she told her husband “it took him a few scans on the app to believe it too,” she said, “It’s a wonderful, overwhelming, and humbling experience. All these years I have been playing and never expected to win a prize like this. My heart feels full.” Jeremiah plans to pay off her mortgage and invest for the future.

Encore is a $1 add-on to most lottery games.
