You’ve heard of K-Pop? Well, get ready for P-Pop, with the all-girl, Filipino pop band BINI bringing their global tour to Oshawa August 17.

BINI has made waves in the music scene by seamlessly blending contemporary pop with traditional Filipino elements to create a distinctive sound that is resonating with a broad audience.

Celebrated for their high-energy performances, intricate choreography, and vibrant visuals, BINI was created after auditioning 250 hopefuls – all wanting to be P-Pop stars – and taking the final eight members through a year of training that included voice coaching, dance lessons and lessons from an academy known for coaxing the best out of P-Pop talent.

The result is BINI, made up of Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, and Sheena, and the band was launched in 2022 with their debut album Born To Win.

A string of top-charting songs followed, including Pantropiko, which generated three million listeners on Spotify and stayed on the number 1 spot for three consecutive weeks, and commercial endorsements with Samsung Galaxy phones, Unilever, Jollibee and an e-commerce platform.

Tickets to the August 17 show at the Tribute Communities Centre go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at tributecommunitiescentre.com or in person at the ticket office.
