An Orono man has been charged after police allege he committed an indecent act on Rice Lake.
The man was out on a boat on Rice Lake near Otonobee-South Monaghan shortly after 4 p.m. on Aug. 6. He was spotted by two teenage girls. They reported he had exposed himself and was committing an indecent act on the boat to the OPP.
When officers arrived the girls described the boat and the man. Officers with the Marine Unit soon caught up to a vessel with the help of a civilian boater and arrested a man.
They’ve charged Blaine Muro, age 56, with indecent exposure to a person under 16 years of age. The allegation has not been proven in court. He will make his first appearance in a Peterborough courtroom on Sept. 5.
