Alleged sexual assault at Ajax Go Station sparks police investigation

Durham Regional Police are probing a reported sexual assault following an encounter between a victim and a man near the platform of Ajax Go Station on Friday night.

On Oct. 6, around 8:15 p.m., police say the victim was standing on the platform at Ajax Go Station— located at 100 Westney Rd. S., before being approached by an unknown man.

Investigators say the victim and the suspect left the area of the platform at which time the victim was allegedly sexually assaulted.

The victim and suspect separated and both headed toward Toronto, authorities say.

Shortly after, the Toronto Police were contacted who then connected with Durham Police.

Police describe the suspect as a brown man, between 25-30 years of age, approximately 5-foot-11 in height and weighs 200 pounds. He has a full beard.

The suspect was last seen wearing, a rain jacket and beige pants.

The Special Victims Unit has now taken over the investigation and is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
