Police are on the scene in Oshawa after a fight resulted in a 15 year-old victim suffering a stab wound.

His injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening.

The altercation took place in the Harmony and Adelaide area. Six local schools were put on hold and secure procedures while police investigated.

Harmony Heights, Eastdale CVI, Vincent Massey, Gordon B. Attersley Sir Albert Love and Coronation public schools all had their doors locked. Students were not able to leave the building for recess, but the schools were functioning normally inside for the duration.

Those holds have now all been lifted.
