If the idea of spending a day among rescued cows, chickens, ducks, horses, and donkeys in the serene countryside sounds appealing while also supporting a meaningful cause, you might want to head to this Uxbridge farm over the weekend.
Farmhouse Garden Animal Home is marking its 9th anniversary with a special celebration, inviting the community to join in the festivities.
The animal rescue organization, known for providing a forever home to neglected and unwanted farm animals, will host a family-friendly visiting day on Sunday (August 18.)
The event begins at 1 p.m. and will offer visitors the chance to spend time with the rescued animals. Attendees can also enjoy a vegan bake sale, participate in kids’ activities and purchase veggie boxes to feed the animals.
Admission is $20 per person with children under 10 admitted for free. All proceeds from ticket sales will directly support the care and well-being of the farm’s animal residents, helping the organization continue its mission of creating a more compassionate world for animals.
As a fundraising effort, Farmhouse Garden Animal Home hopes the community will support the event and spread the word. The organization emphasized the importance of these funds in providing the animals with the best possible care.
The event is open to all, though visitors are asked not to bring along dogs.
The rescue group says it is eager to welcome the community for a day of fun and connection with the animals they have tirelessly worked to save over the past nine years.
