Miracle Treat Day returns for its twenty-second year next month, with fans of Blizzard ice cream treats in Durham Region able to support SickKids through their purchases.
Net proceeds of every Blizzard sold at Dairy Cream outlets around the region on Thursday, Aug. 8 will go directly to SickKids Foundation, one of 12 Children’s Miracle Network hospital foundations across Canada.
Dairy Queen Canada is celebrating its 40th partnership anniversary with Children’s Miracle Network, raising more than $52 million for the childrens’ charity from Miracle Treat Day and other year-round fundraising initiatives since 1984.
Every dollar donated from DQ stores goes toward medical research, innovations in treatment and care, child-centred healing spaces and more.
Last year more than 3.2 million visits to children’s hospitals across Canada were supported by Miracle Treat Day.
