An Ajax woman is a quarter of a million dollars richer after picking out the right scratch ticket.

Kristine Shea picked up a Super Money Multiplier ticket at the Stop Variety on Danforth Avenue in Toronto. She’d played scratcher tickets for decades and the game seemed new.

“I played my ticket in the store and had to do a double take when I realized I won. I scanned it on the OLG app and thought, ‘This is unbelievable’,” she told the OLG.

“I shared the news with my sister, who was with me at the time, and she couldn’t believe it, Shea continued, “She asked, ‘Are you pulling my leg?’.” She said she still couldn’t believe she won, calling it a surreal feeling. Shea is going to invest her winnings.

Super Money Multiplier tickets cost $10 each and $250,000 is the top prize.
