An argument in the Oshawa Centre parking lot got ugly and led to reckless gunfire from a fast-moving vehicle and a bullet hole in the front of a nearby residence.
Durham Police responded to reports of gunfire at the east end of the mall near Elmgrove Avenue and Westmount Street just before 1 p.m. Wednesday. Officers searched the area and found the bullet hole in the front of a nearby home.
Further investigation revealed that at approximately 12:35 p.m., the driver of a black Audi A3 two-door, and the driver of a silver Infiniti G37 four-door sedan, were involved in an altercation in the south-east corner of the Oshawa Centre parking lot. The driver of the Infiniti fired a gun at the Audi, as both vehicles fled the area at a high rate of speed.
No persons with injuries have come forward to police.
