‘Armed persons’ barricaded in homes in Oshawa and Whitby

Durham Police are on scene of a home on Kensington Crescent in Oshawa and at a residence on Dundas Street East and Garden Street in Whitby for a reports of an armed person.

In both cases the armed person is confined to the home.

Police are reporting there are “no concerns” for public safety at this time but are cautioning residents and motorists to “avoid the areas.”

Kensington Crescent is located in Oshawa’s north end, near the intersection of Wilson Road and Beatrice Street. The intersection of Dundas and Garden is just east of Whitby’s historic four corners downtown.
