UPDATE: Glen Street PS hold-and-secure lifted in south Oshawa for armed person report

Durham Police officers have been “unable to substantiate the validity” of an armed person report in the area of Glen Street and Porter Street in south Oshawa and and have lifted a hold and secure for Glen Street Public School.
A statement from police stated they no longer believe there is a current threat to the area
Police have had to deal with several reports of gunplay in the area in recent days, including a man shot near Cedar Street and Wentworth Street Saturday night.
