A man has been arrested after police allege he exposed himself to multiple women in Coutrice and Oshawa.
The first allegation stems from an incident on April 16. Durham Police claim a man approached two girls near Hartfield Drive and Varcoe Road shortly before 8 p.m. The area is a quiet residential neighbourhood just east of Townline Road.
Investigators say he exposed himself to the girls and made inappropriate comments to them before fleeing the scene. He was gone by the time officers arrived.
Around the same time on April 24, police allege the man did the same thing to a woman and her daughter near Taunton Road and Ritson Road. This much busier area is home to multiple apartment buildings and business plazas.
He again fled the area afterwards, but officers managed to track down a suspect a short distance away. None of the victims were physically injured in these incidents.
Maleke Fines, 27 of Oshawa, is charged with two counts of indecent acts and indecent exposure. He remains in custody until a bail hearing.
Investigators are concerned there may be other victims and wish anyone with information to come forward. Those with pertinent information can call police at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1649 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
