Assault charges laid after Bowmanville bar fight

A Bowmanville bar fight has led to serious injuries for one man and assault charges for another.
Durham Police were called to the Endvine Grill and Bar on King St. E. Sunday night after a “disagreement” spilled over into a physical altercation shortly before 11 p.m.
The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Clarington’s Michael Kougias, 39, was subsequently charged with assault causing bodily harm and was released on an undertaking.
