Assault in downtown Oshawa park leaves victim in critical condition

A man was brutally attacked in an Oshawa park last night resulting in critical injuries.
The victim was beaten shortly before 8 p.m. on Sept. 10. Durham Police officers were in the area of Centre Street and John Street on another call when a bystander approached them.
This bystander reported the attack and led the officers to the seriously injured victim in Memorial Park. Paramedics rushed the man to a Toronto trauma centre where he was listed as in critical condition.
Police report multiple suspects fled the scene before the officers arrived. However, they did not specify how many or provide any descriptions.
