Durham Police are searching for three unidentified men after they allegedly tried to lure a 10-year-old boy into their car.
The boy was walking home from his friend’s house shortly after 2 p.m. on July 23, Durham Police report. As he made his way through the suburban neighbourhood around Griffiths Drive and Wickens Crescent a dark sedan approached him.
The car stopped alongside the boy and the trio called on him to get in. The boy ignored the men and continued walking. The car then turned into a driveway to block the kid and they again tried to coax him in. The boy was able to run away and soon made it home unharmed.
Police describe the suspects as a group of brown men. Two were around 15 to 20 years old, while the third was a little older at 18 to 25. The elder one had curly, black hair while another had curly, longer hair. The third had curly hair as well but also sported a small beard.
