A man was carjacked after trying to sell his vehicle from his Pickering home.
The car owner posted it for sale online and organized a showing with a potential buyer on May 23.
The potential buyer arrived at the seller’s house near Park Crescent and Cliffview Road, a residential neighbourhood just off the lakeshore.
The buyer tried to steal the car during the inspection, Durham police say. When the seller confronted him, the buyer allegedly pulled a pistol and pointed it at him.
Investigators describe the suspect as a 20 to 25-year-old brown man standing about five-foot-seven. He had short black hair, a black beard and a slim build. He was wearing a black hat, a white shirt, and black pants.
