Autumn 'Market in the Barn' event set to feature adoptable pets provided by Oshawa animal shelter

A parade of adoptable animals will be out and about this weekend as the Oshawa Animal Service Centre will attend the Market in the Barn event at Holllowbrook Highlands. 

The event, slated to take place in the village of Pontypool, is scheduled for this upcoming Sunday, September 22. 

Market in the Barn offers free admission for all attendees and beyond the adoptable pets available,  visitors are also encouraged to bring their own four-legged family members to roam the grounds.

Information provided by the event indicates that activities and merchants include: 

  • A full vendor market 
  • Licensed Bar
  • Farm Animals 
  • Live Music 
  • Bonfire/Smores
  • Live Music
  • Hiking 
  • Food
  • Photo Sessions 

According to information on the Oshawa Animal Service website, available pets for adoption include cats, dogs, and critters — including bunnies, birds and hamsters.
