Basement fire has Simcoe St. S. in Oshawa closed to traffic

A basement fire near Simcoe Street and Highway 401 has fire crews busy and police asking motorists to avoid the area.
The working fire is in a building on Simcoe Street, just south of Mill Street. Simcoe is currently closed to traffic between Olive Avenue and Mill Street.
There are no reports yet as to any injuries in the blaze.
