Beaverton home invader remains at large

The man who broke into an elderly Beaverton woman’s home this morning remains at large.

The woman awoke shortly before 3 a.m. on Oct 2 to find a man in her home on Church St. and Osborne St. armed with a knife. The man stole several things from the home but police did not specify what. The victim was unhurt.

Then he climbed into the victim’s car, a teal or green 2006 Pontiac Torrent, and drove off. The Torrent’s licence plate reads CRPB-471. Durham Regional Police describe the suspect as a white man aged 20 to 30. He is tall and has a thin mustache. He was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
