A pair of lakeside homes in Bowmanville and Ajax and a threesome of Oshawa condos make up the least expensive homes sold in Durham Region in September, with sale prices of the five properties ranging from $425,000 to $525,000.

A two-bedroom home on Bluffs Road in east Bowmanville’s Wlimot Creek community with views of Lake Ontario was #1 on the least expensive home scale, and the oasis in the heart of nature was a bargain at $425,000, so long as you don’t mind the quiet life of a senior’s community and you’re okay with maintenance fees of nearly $900 a month.

At number two is a two-bedroom condo at 131 Taunton Road Oshawa, with the apartment offering a private balcony, the usual apartment complex amenities and everything that bustling north Oshawa has to offer.

The condo sold for $450,000.

At #3 is a two-bedroom condo apartment in downtown Oshawa, with the sixth floor unit selling for $455,000.

The condo features a balcony and the building boasts underground parking and a second-floor common lounge area with a walkout to an outside patio.

At number four is lakefront living in Ajax, with this one-bedroom top floor apartment on Lake Driveway selling for $468,800.

The fifth-highest selling property sold in Durham in September was the first to top the half-million mark, with this three-bedroom townhouse at 1010 Glen Street in south Oshawa selling last month for $535.000.

The renovated townhouse features plenty of space inside – including a finished basement – and more outside with a spacious backyard.

The property last sold 13 years ago for just $89,900.
