Bowmanville stabbing sends man to hospital; teen in custody

A 16-year-old is in custody after a man was stabbed at a Bowmanville residence Saturday morning.
The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre and remains in stable condition.
Durham Police responded to the home near Kennethe Cole Drive and Bruce Cameron Drive just before 9:30 a.m. where they found the victim suffering from serious but not life-threatening injuries. The teenage male was arrested at the scene.
The 16-year-old was charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. He was held for a bail hearing.
