A massive drug trafficking investigation netted charges against 25 people from across Ontario including residents of Brampton and Durham Region.

Investigators with the York Regional Police Organized Crime and Intelligence Services – Major Projects Unit have say they dismantled a large-scale drug trafficking network that extended across Ontario.

The investigation started in June 2021, initially focusing on trafficking in York Region. But as the investigation progressed, police found the group was also responsible for trafficking drugs through the GTA and into other areas of Ontario, including Durham Region, London and the Kawartha Lakes area.
