Warm hearts who are willing to get cold and creative are wanted for the Polar Plunge on March 2, with the proceeds going to support the athletes of the Special Olympics.

Organized locally this year by the Durham Regional Police, the Polar Plunge is back in-person at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex in Pickering (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) for the third annual event.

The goal this year is to raise $30,000 locally as part of an Ontario-wide target of $500,000 for programming and events for more than 26,000 Special Olympic athletes across the province.
