Busy highway off-ramp closed in Whitby after driver injured in collision

UPDATE: Highway 412 northbound ramp to Highway 7 now open.
One person has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle collision in Whitby early Friday evening (May 31).
The crash involved a pickup truck and sedan and occurred at 4 p.m. on the off-ramp from Highway 412 northbound to Highway 7 and has left the off-ramp closed.
The driver of the sedan, a 65-year-old male, was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The off-ramp was closed for approximately three hours, say Ontario Provincial Police.
Officers from the OPP and TSU OPP continue to investigate.
