The Candlelight Concert Series, a series of shows played by local musicians in stunning locations around the world – with each event illuminated by thousands of candles – is returning to Oshawa and the Biltmore Theatre, this time with a special Halloween-themed show on October 11.

A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics will feature favorite movie soundtracks from The Addams Family, Beetlejuice, Ghostbusters, The Exorcist, Thriller and more in a unique musical program that promises to be a fun and spooky night of classical music.

Candlelight Concerts is a series of original music concerts created by Fever, a global live-entertainment company that hopes to “democratize” access to classical music with an innovative format to meet all tastes, played by local musicians, in emblematic venues, with the space and performers illuminated by thousands of candles.

Oshawa hosted three of the candlelight concerts this past summer – including a Taylor Swift-themed event – and the Biltmore hosted two events last October, featuring an adapted programs with tributes to Hans Zimmer and Taylor Swift and the Holiday Special featuring ‘The Nutcracker,’ all performed by the Listeso String Quartet.

Candlelight invites a broader audience that might have never considered a classical music concert before to connect with the most iconic pieces of the greatest composers and listen to the top hits of well-known artists in a different way.

The series has been successful in more than 100 cities around the globe, from Madrid, Lisbon and London to Sydney, as well as the shows in Oshawa and other Canadian cities.

Initially conceived as a classical music series with concerts featuring works from the greatest composers, such as Vivaldi, Mozart, and Chopin, the concert series now includes a wide variety of themes and genres, including tributes to contemporary artists like Queen, ABBA, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran, as well as shows dedicated to K-Pop, movie soundtracks and others.

The show in Oshawa will be on Friday, October 11 at 8:45 p.m. at the Biltmore Theatre downtown. Tickets, starting at $36,  can be purchased at https://feverup.com/m/193445.
