Car crash closes Whitby intersection

A Whitby intersection is closed for an investigation into a car crash that sent one to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police announced the closure shortly before 10 am January 6, after two cars collided at the Lake Ridge Road and Highway 7 intersection in Whitby.

One person was extricated from their car by Whitby Fire Services and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries by Durham Paramedic services.

Investigators have closed the northbound and southbound lanes to collect evidence and advise drivers to take an alternate route.
