Car crash in Oshawa sends 19-year-old to hospital with life-threatening injuries

A 19-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries in a single vehicle car crash in Oshawa Tuesday afternoon.

The young man was driving east down Wentworth Street, between Simcoe Street and Cedar Street, when he left the road and crashed into a pole on the south side of the road.

Police responded at 4:42 p.m. January 11. The driver, suffering life-threatening injuries, was transferred to a Toronto trauma centre, as the Collision investigation Unit was brought to investigate the crash site and collect evidence, closing the area for several hours.

Police are asking for any witness to the crash come forward, if they haven’t yet spoken with investigators.
