A chauffeur was the victim of an armed carjacking at a Pickering school last weekend.

The victim, who runs the chauffeur business, was contacted for a pick-up at Westcreek Public School on Westcreek Drive and Oakburn Street. The school sits in a residential area of detached homes, just off Algoma Road on the city’s west side.

The chauffeur arrived at the school around 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 6. As he waited for his customer in a black Cadillac Escalade, two men approached. They hopped in the SUV and began to threaten the victim, Durham Police said.

The pair allegedly forced the chauffeur from the Cadillac and sped off, stranding him at the school. The chauffeur was not physically hurt. The carjackers remain unidentified and at large. Investigators did not provide descriptions of the pair.

Anyone with information can call police at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5355 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
