Clarington has, like most other municipalities in Ontario, adopted a mandatory vaccine policy for staff.
On Monday Clarington Council decided to make it official for the mayor and councillors as well by passing a motion that council members had to be fully vaccinated or be refused entrance to all municipal facilities.
The motion, requesting that the Mayor and Councilors provide proof of their vaccination status by November 23, was approved unanimously.
